image courtesy kraft foodsIt was my brother's birthday and I was the birthday cake maker or birthday dessert maker. We're not totally traditional. I asked him what he wanted for "birthday cake" and he requested peanut butter pie, which is seriously one of the easiest desserts out there. This is oh-so rich, but delicious. There are a bunch of recipes out there, all of which I want to try, but figured that I should make the "one" the brother requested.
Chocolate Peanut Butter Cream Pie
3/4 cup hot fudge ice cream topping, divided
1 HONEY MAID Graham Pie Crust (6 oz.)(I used an oreo crust)
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
1-1/4 cups cold milk
2 pkg. (4-serving size each) JELL-O Vanilla Flavor Instant Pudding
1 tub (8 oz.) COOL WHIP Whipped Topping, thawed, divided (I whipped fresh cream)
SPOON 1/2 cup of the fudge topping onto bottom of crust. Place in freezer 10 min.
MIX peanut butter and milk with wire whisk in large bowl until well blended. Add dry pudding mixes; beat 2 min. or until well blended. (Mixture will be thick.) Gently stir in half of the whipped topping. Gently spoon over chocolate layer. Top with remaining whipped topping.
REFRIGERATE 3 hours or until set. Drizzle with remaining 1/4 cup fudge topping just before serving. Store leftover pie in refrigerator.
PS Are you familar with the kraft foods website? It's awesome. It's full of a lot of great recipes, most of which are really quick and easy.

Mmm. Peanut butter pie is my favorite, but I honestly gain five pounds every time I make it, so it is only a once or twice a year kind of dessert :) I like the looks of this recipe. I generally use the Better Homes and Gardens one with cream cheese.
